Not very long ago, the Dev D actress took to her Instagram feed and shared a video of a magical lullaby which is been sung by the lady herself. The lullaby in question is Nessa Rua which is in Portuguese and Kalki sings that to her as she plays the chords on a ukulele. Fun fact, she learnt this lullaby while playing a Portuguese character Tara in the web series 'Smoke.' Apart from the tunes, her vocals are also sheer magic to our ears.
While sharing the video, she captioned it as, “Nessa Rua This is a Portuguese lullaby I learnt when playing the Portuguese character Tara in the web series ' Smoke' Watch out for the sparrows who make an appearance in our song.” Well, if you are looking for some amazing and soothing lullabies, guess, this video shared by Kalki will do the magic for your kids.
Interestingly, this is not the first time she has sung a lullaby in a different language. Earlier, she sang an African lullaby when she just started playing the ukulele. She shared the video and wrote, “O lele Started learning the uke when I was pregnant to play songs for my baby. It's worked out well, Sappho either gets excited or falls asleep to them. This African lullaby was one of the first songs I learnt from an album called Songs of the Baobab. If anyone knows what the lyrics mean let me know! #mamadiaries #ukulele #sappho #covidtimes.” ALSO READ: New Mommy Kalki Koechlin Shares Her ‘Sleep Deprived Bliss’ Pic Holding Little Sappho; It Is Beyond Adorable
